The annual growth rate of the European LED lighting market in the next five years will be 38% that is a rapidly growing mature after that of Japan. There is lower price sensitivity of LED lights for consumers in the architectural lighting and commercial lighting applications. The LED lights are more acceptable and popularized quickly.

According to the 2011~2015 European LED lighting market report data shows, the 2012 global LED architectural lighting market will be US $3.191 billion, about 29% of the total LED lighting market. The European is the main application market. The market scale is US$1.2 billion which takes up 35% in the global LED architectural lighting market.

Due to the varity color of LED, European countries are willing to invest more funds in the lighting design of the promotion of culture and tourism value in order to attract more tourists.

TrendForce said that RGB and Color LED as the main color are most used in the past LED lights, but the supply of LED lights is more than demand in 2011. This makes the LED lights price reduce 35-40% with high power white LED ASP each year. The architectural lighting manufacturers have improved the acceptance of the white light LED. So  the white light applied in building has been over 40%.

With the fast improvement of the white light efficiency as well as the prices fast down, it is expected to the white light will replace the RGB / Color as the main architectural color in 2013.
